38 Festivals in the region are also becoming increasingly popular. With Airbeat One, Neustadt-Glewe hosts one of the largest electro festivals in northern Germany with up to 65,000 spectators. The music at “Airbeat One” is as diverse as the festival itself. Stars of the scene such as Paul van Dyk, Klangkarussell and Fritz Kalkbrenner perform here. The Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival is also the third largest classical music festival in Germany. Around 120 concerts throughout the state and the “Small Festival in the Big Park” in Ludwigslust attract visitors to MecklenburgVorpommern from June to September.
