43 West Mecklenburg is a region for living and working. Whether classic industry such as shipbuilding, the food industry or plastics processing: West Mecklenburg‘s industries have undergone major changes in recent decades and have successfully adapted to new challenges. They have been on a solid growth course since 2005. The logistics and health industries in particular have recorded strong growth rates. But an efficient owner-managed economic structure that characterises West Mecklenburg today has also developed in mechanical engineering and metal construction.
