94 The town of Grevesmühlen and the municipality of Upahl are currently establishing an inter-municipal commercial site located directly at the exit of the A 20 motorway,. Plots of 1 ha to 14 ha will be made available for industry, logistics and trade. According to Mecklenburg-Vorpommern‘s regional development programme, the commercial area, which covers a total of approx. 41 hectares, is classified as significant for the development of the state. The planned commercial site will be sustainable from the outset, i.e. in accordance with the G3 criteria of the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The goal is a 100 % independent power and heat supply from regenerative energy sources in a network. Situated between Lübeck and Wismar, the project offers investors several advantages: Low, reliable energy costs, a green network and, last but not least, fast access to the A 20 motorway.
